Fundació Espigoladors is a non-profit organization that fights against food waste. As part of their activity, they organize gleanings: harvest and collection of food that cannot be sold and that is distributed to social entities. We have participated in the digitization of this process, improving the management and logistics of the gleanings. We have done this with the creation of a Python backoffice that connects volunteers, gleanings and producers.
The application also has a map that volunteers can use to locate other nearby volunteers with whom to share transport to the gleaning field. The tool also offers the foundation a solution adapted to mobile devices to control attendance at the gleanings.

Casa Jam Barcelona is a hostel that promotes responsible tourism and generating environmental awareness is key for them. With that purpose, we have developed a tool to calculate the ecological footprint of the hostel’s clients. It is an application in which the client can enter his travel data and consult his average daily consumption of light, water and waste during his stay in the hostel. At the end of their stay, the client receives an email with the calculation of their ecological footprint.

From Jamgo we have created a backoffice based in Jamgo Framework to receive real-time consumption of electricity, water and waste in the hostel. A calculation engine has also been developed based on the route and means of transport used by the client to calculate its CO2 emissions. These calculations are translated into indicators that are displayed in real time and graphically in a webapp developed in React.

Les Meves Ajudes is a Barcelona City Council tool designed so that citizens can easily find information about the social benefits to which they are entitled. The application works anonymously and, based on the information entered by the user, indicates what benefits can be requested, as well as an estimate of the amount and the procedures to request them.

The web application is presented through a Drupal site. This content manager embeds the Benefits Simulator Application, made in React. The engine that performs the benefits calculation has been programmed using the Open Source OpenFisca platform.

Social Balance is a tool of the Solidarity Economy Network designed for accountability and measurement of social, environmental and good governance impact of solidarity economy entities. For this tool we have built an application that allows users from different organizations to respond to questionnaires where they can self-assess in terms of their environmental impact, gender perspective, work environment, etc.

This application is connected to a backoffice or management area that allows the project team to review the questionnaires answered by the organizations, filter and export the answers, add/edit/delete new modules, indicators and questions and relate them to each other, among other functionalities.

Pam a pam is the collaborative map of the Social and Solidarity Economy of Catalonia. A collective tool that contributes to social transformation through the visibility of initiatives that operate under the criteria of the solidarity economy.

The main objectives of the project at an external level have been to improve the design, usability and functionality of the Pam to Pam web platform. Internally, the main goal was for the new platform to improve project data management and internal communication flows between project workers and volunteers. With this intention, we have built a backoffice in Java to manage the internal information and a web application based on WordPress.

The Online Directory of Social Economy Organizations is a tool promoted by Barcelona City Council. It is designed as a search engine to show the existing organizations in the Social Economy and that draws directly from the official records of the field.

We have built a platform composed of a Java backoffice and a WordPress-based web application connected by a REST API. The content manager together with the backoffice allows the project managers, autonomously and with minimal effort, to easily update and manage information.

Workshop given by Jamgo that is part of Barcelona Activa’s training offer. The workshop is aimed at evaluating and improving the digital strategy of women entrepreneurs by teaching them how to measure results with Google Analytics and other digital analytics tools. The training includes notions of SEO / web positioning, as well as tools for evaluating strategy on social media.

APPel lloc is an online application promoted by Perviure to assess the economic and architectural feasibility of cohousing projects. Perviure is an organization that works to guarantee the viability of cooperative housing projects in all their dimensions: economic and financial, relationships, legal and architectural.

The APPel lloc software allows you to add/edit/delete the housing groups, manage the master data of the profiles, simulations and surveys and analyze the simulations of the housing groups. With the data entered in the simulations, the application makes a projection of the economic viability of the project.

Sostre Cívic is an organization that promotes an alternative to the current housing model: the assigned-for-use housing co-operative, or cohousing. In response to the housing crisis in Barcelona, many people are turning to the Sostre Cívic housing model. At this time of growth, the organization has decided to make a new website within the framework of a communication strategy that can offer more answers to the cooperative members.
A responsive website has been developed with the WordPress content manager. The challenges of the project have consisted of laying out the tailor-made effects of the design and working with WordPress blocks to create reusable elements that make content editing easy for the Sostre Civic team.

The CercaCOOP mobile app was created with the intention of becoming a reference app with up-to-date information on Catalan cooperatives. To unify the available information on cooperatives, we have built a backoffice platform that allows, from a web interface, to edit the information of the different Catalan cooperatives.

We have developed an app for Android, IOS and Windows Phone designed to display backoffice information in a friendly way, as there are more than 4000 records of cooperatives.

The Social and Solidarity Economy Fair is an event organized by the Solidarity Economy Network. The Fair is a meeting point for many of the organizations that are part of the ESS in Catalonia. The Fair Mobile App (available for iOS and Android) is designed so that visitors can find the organizations participating in the Fair, the program of activities organized by day, the plans of the venue and the frequently asked questions, among others.

It is a platform with three parts that interconnect with each other: a back office to manage data (entities, talks, categories, notifications, etc.), REST services to publish this data, and an app for Android and iOS which consumes these services to show the user all the available information.

The ability to access, control and use personal data has become a means by which internet companies can drive profits. DECODE is a decentralized platform that put individuals in control of whether they keep their personal data private or share it for the public good

DECODE is an experimental project to develop practical alternatives to how we use the internet today – four European pilots will show the wider social value that comes with individuals being given the power to take control of their personal data and given the means to share their data differently. The app that we have developed offers privacy, anonymous but authenticated participation on internet platforms, granular control over the exchange of data with communities, storage and sharing of encrypted data, including IoT data.

La Comunal, located in Sants neighborhood in Barcelona, is a project promoted by organizations of the Solidarity Economy that wanted shared headquarters to promote the wellbeing of its members but also to generate new cultural cooperative reference space in the city. The shared headquarters have been running since 2020 and in 2021 they wanted to achieve new audiences with the campaign Eixam Sense Reina.

At Jamgo we have helped to promote this campaign with the design and development of the communication website of La comunal, built on WordPress. Also, we did some SEO work, especially important as the project started from scratch and visibility was key.

Grup Ecos is a cooperative group formed by organizations from the Social and Solidarity Economy in Barcelona. The organizations belonging to the group come from different sectors of activity and the objectives of the group are to strengthen the member organizations and to promote the creation of a social market.

We have renewed the Grup Ecos website with the aim of achieving a more modern look & feel and a mobile-friendly version of it. The challenges of the project have been to achieve a dynamic platform, easy to update, that communicates the cooperative values of the group and that has a private area to be able to share documents among the members of the group.

BCN Antimachista is part of Barcelona City Council’s work to make Barcelona a city free from gender violence. As a part of this campaign, the City Council offers citizens a series of support services and resources to help eradicate gender violence in the city.

The main challenge of the project has been the tight delivery times of the campaign. Scrum methodology has been key to coordinating all the agents involved in the project. WordPress is an ideal CMS for projects like this, and Foundation as a Front End Framework has given us the essential base pieces to be able to achieve the objectives on time.

Arç is an insurance broker specialized in the Social and Solidarity Economy sector and renewable energies. This cooperative needed to renew its website with the aim of achieving a more modern look & feel and a mobile friendly version of it.

The web project is conceived as a generational change in the cooperative in which both the target audience and the team members could begin to perceive the website as dynamic. Thus, it has been crucial to think of a site that could easily grow and evolve with the contributions of the Arç team members.

The Office of the Commissioner for Social and Solidarity Economy is the Barcelona City Council body responsible for promoting SSE in the city. It was created in July 2015 and, as a new area of Barcelona City Council, it did not have its own website.

The project has been mainly focused on the content architecture, as well as the SEO strategy. At this level, we have consciously worked on a content strategy based on the keywords of the sector and on urls oriented to search engine positioning. The web has been developed in Drupal 7 applying the content structure previously thought.

Revista Opcions is an online magazine specializing in responsible consumption. We have created a more intuitive, dynamic and mobile-friendly website for the magazine. Some key elements for the viability of the project have been considered, such as the possibility of inserting advertising, calls to action for subscription and the possibility of online subscription.

Another important area of the project has been the advice on search engine positioning given to the team of the project. Given the importance of content in a digital medium, a good initial SEO strategy can make a big difference in the impact of the project.

Lacol is an architecture cooperative based in the neighborhood of Sants, in Barcelona. They work toward social transformation using architecture. Lacol needed a new website and the web design process has been considered as a co-creation work between the team in charge of Lacol and the Jamgo design team.

A current site has been developed at a technical level: responsive, with HTML5 structures and coherent at the SEO level, all with a simple content manager such as WordPress. The great challenge was to show a portfolio of architecture projects in a very visual and attractive way.

Voltes is a cooperative of architecture and urbanism that focuses its practices as a tool for social transformation.The transition from collective to cooperative of Voltes also meant a new name for the project, a new graphic identity and a new website.

Each of the templates on the page have been created from scratch to get the tailored-made design of the site. The Foundation framework has been used to provide a responsive grid layout. The solution to fit the discordant elements with the grids was to “break” in those sections where some objects are on top of others.

Téstate is a project promoted by The Center for Epidemiological Studies on Sexually Transmitted Infections and AIDS in Catalonia – CEEISCAT. The platform is designed for users to self-test HIV at home. In fact, this first prototype of the platform is meant to analyze the acceptability of this type of diagnosis.

One key aspect of the project is usability. The platform had to be simple and understandable and give enough confidence to users to take an HIV online test. Bearing in mind that most users access the platform via mobile, it has been a challenge to work on a well thought-out and tested mobile version of the application. For the backoffice part, it was key that all data could be exported in order to be analyzed for the research project.

Irídia offers free legal and psychosocial assistance to people who suffer situations of institutional violence within the Catalan penal system, the project is known as Attention and Complaint Service in Situations of Institutional Violence (SAIDAVI in catalan)

The center manages the follow-up of complaints with a tailor-made tool that facilitates the entry of cases, their advice and follow-up. For the development of this service, we have used the Jamgo Framework, which has allowed SAIDAVI staff to centralize all their information in a management backoffice.

Digital tool promoted by La Confederación. The platform is designed to collectively move towards improving internal participation and democratic management of third sector organizations.

The software developed allows organizations to register and generate an initial diagnosis of the organization’s democratic status. Based on the responses and other programmed variables, the application automatically generates a democratic governance matrix model. The application’s backoffice allows users to manage the master data, prepare the surveys and check the data collected in the matrix model.

Snappy Research is a web application for real-time market research. The application allows the users to create questionnaires based on the objectives of their campaign. Respondents use an app on their mobile device to answer the surveys, and as they complete them, the user sees the results on the dashboard via graphs and tables that he can download into spreadsheets.

As a whole, it is a highly complex system that has required, along with the standard development work, exhaustive technological architecture work and customer support in the processes of analysis of requirements and technological decisions.

TCQi is a software promoted by ITEC, the Catalonia Institute of Construction Technologies. TCQI has been designed for the time planning of a construction and allows linking the activity of a work to a budget. One of the most interesting features of the tool is that it allows you to create a Gantt chart to plan the calendar and edit it dynamically.

The great challenges of the project have been the rewriting of complex algorithms provided by the client, the implementation of unit tests to verify their correct operation, the integration with other application modules and the layout of the Gantt chart so that it is easily editable.

El Viejo Topo is a political-themed magazine that has been published since 1976. In the current publishing context, where traditional newspapers and magazines are in the process of transformation, El Viejo Topo has opted for a new website that includes different types of content and that covers their journalistic, ideological and commercial needs. The WordPress site developed for this project is multi-device and the content is easy to edit.
