This work is the communicational side of a much wider project, whose main objective is the expansion of the social and solidarity economy in Catalonia. To achieve this goal, the Solidarity Economy Network of Catalonia – la XES works on several project, being the annual Fair -la FESC- probably the most widely known.
Aside from the Fair, la XES promotes the diffusion and expansion of the responsible economy ecosystem. One of their diffusion tools is the annual Social Balance survey, an ethical and social accountability tool being held in Catalonia since 2007. The survey is managed using a web application and is published via online campaigns around the Mercat Social website.
After winning an open tender, Jamgo has taken care of the development of the Mercat Social site and the new online application to manage the Balanç Social surveys. The web, developed jointly with EBA Comunicació, has the main strategic goal of expanding the social market, that is, to reach more people and organizations.
The solution for the diffusion web channel is based on a content structure (social market organization, social market tools, news and entity catalog) that has been collaboratively defined in several workshops with the client.
A new identity has been created – mercatsocial- and a new site has been designed and developed thinking on the Social Balance campaigns, but at the same time making a space of growth for a new network of web content related to the sector’s organizations.
To achieve this a multisite network based on the WordPress CMS has been developed, with responsive design and with a flexible content structure that will allow constant change and growth.
